She navigated college without the guidance she deserved. Support existed in the institutions she walked through — but it was not always extended with genuine investment. She learned early that being assigned an advisor and having someone truly in your corner are two very different things.

Out of her entire undergraduate experience, only three people showed up differently — her nursing director and two professors who were intentional enough to see the whole student. She has never forgotten them. She has never stopped being that person for everyone else.

She went on to become a DNP, a 2024 Caritas Medal recipient, and a nurse executive who built proven clinical programs that delivered national outcomes at scale. She knows what it takes to navigate this profession at every level — the academic journey, the clinical grind, and the leadership climb. And she knows that talent alone is never the whole story.
